John 5:19-20 Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. “the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing;

This is one of those passages that gets more amazing the longer you sit with it.

Jesus only did what he saw the father doing. Did He actually see God doing things with His natural eyes? Could He see into another dimension and watch the Father working?

Or was it more normal than that? I wonder if He needed to watch for the hand of God in His daily surroundings. Did He talk with people and watch for the words of His Father to come out of their mouths? Did He walk on the Earth waiting for the tugging of the Holy Spirit to draw Him one way or the other? Was His experience anything at all like ours? Remember…. Jesus was also fully man.

I don’t want to minimize the Majestic in any way.

But I do wonder about these things. I wonder if my experience with the Holy Spirit is anything similar to what Jesus experienced on this Earth.
I’m fascinated with His humanity.
In one sense, He was not much different than you and I.

Fully man, on earth, fully filled by God.

Isn’t this what we’re called to live? He lived His life as an example for us to follow in every way, right?

I must be fully filled. I’m not even sure what that means, but my heart screams “yes!” just the same. I long to live a love-soaked, God infused life… moving with my Father throughout all my days.

This is not a new thought, so I fear that these words will somehow bounce off the surface of our minds.

Will you sit and ponder with me? Let this sink deeper my friend. We are fully man or woman, called to live our life dripping with His Presence, drenched with God Himself.

It’s not just about hearing a Voice.

It’s about complete immersion, full saturation, being utterly filled with Christ.
